Der Kurzfilm Horizont handelt vom Lebenskreislauf der Menschen. Tod und Übergang in ein andere Lebensform werden in einer scherenschnittartigen Umwelt gezeigt, anhand einer Person, die nur als Schattenriss erkennbar bleibt. Was geschieht nach unserem Ableben, wie sieht es aus, wenn unsere Seelen in den Himmel oder ins Jenseits fahren? Gibt es eine Antwort darauf, wie es weitergeht?
Horizont entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit Veit Kurz (Zeichnungen & Animation). Das Gesamtkonzept wurde gemeinsam erstellt, die Montage mit parallel stattfindenden Erzählebenen und der notengenau auf das Musikstück Atomit (Niels Bohr Edit) von Mika Vainio angepasste Schnitt stammen von mir. Horizont wurde von Prof. Heiner Blum betreut, auf der Erstsemesterausstellung der HfG Offenbach 2006 gezeigt und ausgezeichnet beim Visual Music Award 2007.

The short film Horizont is about the human life cycle. Death and transition to another life form take place in a scissor-type silhouette environment, on the basis of a person that is only visible as a silhouette. Actually what happens after our passing, how does it look like when our souls go to heaven or beyond? Is there an answer to the question, what will come after that?
Horizont was being created with Veit Kurz (Drawings & Animation). The main concept was a joint effort, the montage using parallel running split screens and the accurate down to the single notes editing to the music track Atomit (Niels Bohr Edit) by Mika Vainio has been my part. Horizont was developed in 2005 at the HfG Offenbach, at the class of Prof. Heiner Blum, on display at the Erstsemesterausstellung der HfG Offenbach 2006 und awarded at the Visual Music Award 2007.
